Hi! I found that the program was quite good. It was really easy to use, but the simple mac-change feature is also available from windows. I the port scan function generates a quite unreadable text. At least for me. It uses hungarian characters, but they can't be seen. So it would be good if it was in UTF-8 or something.. :)

The MAC address scan function is also quite good, i used it, because i wanted to know weather someone is hacking my WLAN right now :) It would have been cool to check out the function to scan also in other IP ranges.

So the program is quite nice, I just wanted to know what it can give. But I believe, that I wouldn't buy the full version, because I can also thease task from windows or from a program that I've written myself.

a-Change Mac Address

My needs were very simple - discover the IP address of a device knowing only the MAC address. This was the only offering on the internet I found that didn't require me to have a *NIX OS or compile source code on my own. It worked for me after carefully checking the options on the main window (had to slow the scan way down to find all devices) and gave me the information that I wanted. I may find other chores for it so I think I will probably buy a copy.

We've just begun using Virtual PC at work. I downloaded this to ensure the MAC addresses weren't being duplicated.

Worked really well, and only complaint was I couldn't export to a file to see the duplicates. It also didn't allow support sorting the columns.

Still, after only a few minutes it had scanned the entire network and gathered all the MAC address for every IP - 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.255.

Great work, and it did the trick.
